Orthos where is stress.txt

Mainboard Tab. CPU Tab. Memory Tab. SPD Slot-1 Tab. SPD Slot-2 Tab. Ok, took a closer look at the pic. You circled the voltage regulation circuitry. Bunch o' caps, ICs 'n such. Amongst which are mosfets a type of transistor , I suppose. I gotcha now Your mb sys temps seems awefully high. Why not just run the Large FFT's Are you testing the ram overclocked? Ok, don't know why I didn't think of this b4.

Running the test from there. Lessee what happens. Maybe the RAM issue is a red herring Hells bells!! It's failing there, too. Shut the system down. Gonna let it cool down. Motherboard Specs. Please, see pics. Motherboard Specs Part You better run memtest Something isn't right.

Hang on! I've only adjusted my Vcore to 2. TheSlamma Diamond Member. Sep 6, 7, 4 Originally posted by: cmdrdredd Originally posted by: jzinckgra Weird, I can't run the test. Jan 4, 21, 3 In fact, i'm starting to wonder about it I'd bet RAM is the issue. Likely needs some tweaking.

Apr 22, 0 0. SmallFFT produces the most heat and removes the memory from the equation. You don't want to error out and have no idea if your memory or your CPU caused the error. TheForce81 Junior Member. Oct 1, 6 0 0. I had a E running at 3Ghz, failed within 5 minutes no matter what Vcore I gave it. Now I have another E, passes it fine at 3Ghz with 1,24Vcore even for more than 9 hours.

Sep 2, 56 0 0. I did a Blend test last night at a new overclock speed and it failed after 8 hours - I'm still counting it as stable though. Anything could have interacted with Orthos after 8 hours - and even when video encoding etc - very very rare to go 8 hours with both cores fully loaded Buckster , you can call your overclock stable if you want. You can call it George Bush, if you want. But, if it won't run any software that will run without "failing" at stock speed, then your overclock is not stable.

I would always manually set the overclock in the bios. It is best to find your maximum cpu overclock and get that stable before attempting to tighten the memory timings. What are your stock cpu temps like at idle and load? What is your maximum stable overclock and temps at idle and load? What is you cpu voltage for your stable overclock?

What cooler are you using? What does the stress. It's possible that your cpu doesn't like the overclock, but until we have a bit more info we won't know.

Personally I've never been a fan of stress testing I've always been a "if the PC runs everything I use stably then it's fine" sort of guy, but I'm sure there will be a few more along later that are familiar with orthos. I set the memory timinfgs as suggested 5,5,5,15 which is supposedly quite lean given the memory I have.

I use TAT analysis for temps What are your stock cpu temps like at idle and load? Stock 35, load haven't tested What is your maximum stable overclock and temps at idle and load?

Zalman What does the stress. THis seems to be a generic file that gives some ideas on what to check Hope this helps, I have upped the fsb to but I guess that I should leave to for now?
